Assistance with other projects, this could be something creative, or helping pack up parcels to send out to supporters – the other projects can completely vary from week to week.


Woodside Methodist Pre-School Plympton
1x Nursery Assistant
Looking after preschool-age children from ages 2 to 5, you must be kind, patient, and enjoy
being around children with the ability to interact and make things enjoyable for them by getting
involved in fun and educational activities, also monitor the children’s safety.


The Pioneer Group Plymouth
1 x Volunteer / All rounder
You will be working in the community café or allotment space to help it to become a thriving
outdoor space for a whole community. Become involved in social action projects for young
people in the community. The long term plan is to create a thriving hub to help people’s social,
emotional and mental health. Also, sorting through donations for the food banks.


Dartmoor Zoo
1 x General Assistant
Currently working in the Discovery and Learning Department – involves:

  • Reptile husbandry rounds,
  • Public engagement – this may be different tasks such as – manning the reptile house,
    engaging with public around the park, public talks, manning the top of the drive etc.
    From 9am until 4pm and they are looking for people: Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Are you ready to make a difference in your community in 2021?

The Certificate in Introduction to Health, Social Care & Children’s & Young People’s Settings Level 1 is ideal if you are hoping for a career in Health & Social care or working with young people or interested in volunteering within the community.

It covers the basic knowledge you will use to help you get started in this sector and will enable you to move onto the L2 Health and Social care course.

Attendance is online remote learning at the moment, we will return to centre based classes on Mondays and Tuesdays for 6 weeks later in the year.

Courses starting monthly throughout 2021!
