What you will learn

This free online event planning course takes 12 weeks to achieve and aims to provide the learner with a well-rounded understanding of the key aspects of event planning. The training will equip the learner with the necessary skills and knowledge to plan, organise, execute, and manage successful events.

Areas covered in the course include

  • Marketing methods and market research.
  • Human resource planning at events.
  • Communication and customer service at events.
  • Planning and event and its review and evaluation.

While completing this qualification, learners may develop the knowledge, understanding and essential skills employers look for in employees. These range from familiar ‘key skills’ such as team working, independent learning and problem solving, to more tricky-to-measure skills such as:
• an appreciation for appropriate behaviour and dress
• appropriate interpersonal skills
• communicating with professional colleagues/peers and/or hierarchical seniors
• supporting other aspiring employees
• personal manners and deportment
• understanding work practices and how different roles and departments function within an
organisation.

With distance learning, you have the flexibility to choose your study time and location, with comprehensive support provided by your Tutor throughout your course.

There are no entry requirements, all candidate applications will be reviewed on an individual basis.
