This IT User Skills course will enable you to learn some of the core IT Applications.

To achieve you will complete a set amount of credits from both mandatory and optional units, which may include some of the following:

  • Developing Personal and Team Effectiveness using IT (Mandatory unit)
  • Using Email (Optional unit)
  • Database software (Optional unit)
  • Desktop Publishing software (Optional unit)
  • Presentation software (Optional unit)
  • Spreadsheet software (Optional unit)
  • Wordprocessing software (Optional unit)

Undertaking this Diploma will enable you to learn IT application skills and gain a nationally recognised qualification to enhance your career progression and add to your CV.

There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, if you have already completed a qualification in a related subject at level 2 you may find it useful.

Free Courses for Jobs

  1. 19+ Learner’s without a full level 3 or above can access a qualification on the free courses for jobs offer: Fully Funded. Learners who already hold a level 3 or above and are unemployed or who are on receipt of a low wage less than £20.319: Fully Funded. Information about Free courses for jobs 
  2. Level 3 courses are fully funded if you are a school leaver
  3. 19 + L3  Student Loans can be applied for Advanced Learner Loan Loan eligibility does not depend on your income and there are no credit checks. Check if you are eligible before you apply for an Advanced Learner Loan. Ask your college or training provider about grants before you apply for a loan as you may be entitled.
  4. Funding is available through Apprenticeships/business-administrator-apprenticeship-standard-level-3
