This course is funded through the free courses for jobs to enable those who are looking to find employment in this sector.

The course is a mixture of classroom and home study.

You will be supported and encouraged to find a meaningful work placement either paid or voluntary, as this will give you valuable experienced  and help you to complete some of the assignments.

This course will give students the opportunity to learn and demonstrate knowledge and skills you have developed for a specific area of ICT, such as:

  • database development
  • website design
  • IT product development
  • network planning and installation
  • programming
  • systems analysis
  • cabling and telecommunications.

This course will give you 32 UCAS points on completion.

Learners will learn on the job in the work environment and/or in the classroom.

Assessment includes workplace or real work evidence and/or vendor certification.

A previously attained a Level 2 qualification in ICT  or some relevant experience either paid or unpaid work would be of benefit.



Free Courses for Jobs 19 +

  1. 19+ Learner’s without a full level 3 or above can access a qualification on the free courses for jobs offer: Fully Funded. Learners who already hold a level 3 or above and are unemployed or who are on receipt of a low wage less than £20.319: Fully Funded. Information about Free courses for jobs 
  2. 19 + L3  Student Loans can be applied for Advanced Learner Loan Loan eligibility does not depend on your income and there are no credit checks. Check if you are eligible before you apply for an Advanced Learner Loan. Ask your college or training provider about grants before you apply for a loan as you may be entitled.
  3. If you are in paid employment – Funding is available through Apprenticeships/business-administrator-apprenticeship-standard-level-3
