Functional Skills in English and Maths & Award in Employability programme

Will enable you to develop skills such as problem solving, managing a project, ICT, creative thinking, team work, planning a budget amongst many other important skills. You will gain skills for job searching, job applications, interviews as well as learn about health and safety in the workplace, and meet the criteria employers are looking for when hiring new entrants into their business.

Award in Employability Skills will support you to;

• develop and enhance skills required for the working environment
• develop learners’ confidence for employment and motivation
• improve communication skills and personal effectiveness
• provide a basis for further study

This programme is designed to prepare you to enter the world of work, and so are suitable for anyone who needs support in gaining the extra skills that you may need. You will produce a portfolio which will be assessed and marked. The course takes 12 weeks to complete.

The course is delivered throughout the year, starting at the beginning of each term,  please plan ahead and book a place on the next course, because once it has started you may need to wait 12 weeks for the next course to start, there is no time like the present to move forward and achieve your goals!.
