Employability skills for people of all ages from entry Level 3, Level 1 and Level 2.
This course will enable you to develop skills such as problem solving, digital skills to enable easy online job applications. creative thinking, team work, amongst many other important skills. You will gain skills for job searching, job applications, interviews as well as learn about health and safety in the workplace, and meet the criteria employers are looking for when hiring new entrants into their business.
Award in Employability Skills will support you to;
- CV building
- Cover letters
- Develop and enhance skills required for the working environment
- Develop learners’ confidence for employment and motivation
- Improve communication skills and personal effectiveness
- Provide a basis for further study
This programme is designed to prepare you to enter the world of work, and is suitable for anyone who needs support in gaining the extra skills that they may need. You will produce a portfolio which will be assessed and marked. The course takes 12 weeks to complete.
The course is delivered throughout the year, starting at the beginning of each term, please plan ahead and book a place on the next course, because once it has started you may need to wait 12 weeks for the next course to start, there is no time like the present to move forward and achieve your goals!.
Starting on the 15th January 2024 and running every Monday from 0900 – noon.
A getting started session will be held on Monday 8th for you to fill out enrolment paper work at the centre.
This qualification will provide you a basis for further study and help prepare you to enter the world of work in various sectors.
Free for all students
- are 19-23 and do not already have a level 2 qualification
- are 24+ and unemployed
- earn below the National Living Wage annually (£20,319 from April 2023)
