About this course
The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement equips learners with the skills to accurately assess the competence of candidates.

The course has three units:

• Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
• Assess occupational competence in the work environment
• Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding

The course assessment is a portfolio of evidence that consists of a written assessment, four workplace assessments and four vocational assessments.

The objectives of this qualifications are to:

Provide the essential knowledge and understanding to assessment staff,  who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment).

You do not need previous experience in assessing, but must have access to a minimum of two candidates to carry out your practical assessments.
