Exciting opportunity for a confident tutor to work with our Animal Care training team in Plymouth City Centre.

Salary: £23,346 per annum

Hours: 34 hours per week 

The Job Role:

We are seeking a motivated candidate to deliver consistent, high quality vocational training for Animal Care in line with prevailing qualification standards with our small but dedicated curriculum team.

In Plymouth City Centre, our lively department hosts a range of small animals and delivers training to learners from 16 to 60+. The Candidate:

  • Qualified in Animal Care or similar to Level 3 or above;
  • Current teaching/assessing qualifications and experience (or ready to work towards recognised qualifications with in-house support and training);
  • Have good organisational skills and able to prioritise effectively;
  • Confident classroom delivery to learners from Level 1 to 3;
  • Able to work independently and as part of the curriculum teaching team;
  • Able to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with local schools and employers to promote ATL’s services.

NOTES:

Due to the nature of the cohorts to be supported, this role is not suitable for remote work and will be carried out in-person, on site.

All our staff require an Enhanced DBS as part of pre-employment checks, this will be set up and paid for by ATL.
