Apprenticeship Enrolment Form (Employer - Part 1)

Apprenticeship Enrolment Form

To undertake an apprenticeship, the apprentice must meet both the individual entry requirements and the government funding eligibility requirements. The general eligibility criteria are outlined below. We may request additional evidence to confirm eligibility where required:

 The apprentice must have an eligible residency status for apprenticeship funding and the legal right to work in England.
 The apprentice must spend at least 50% of their working hours in England over the duration of the apprenticeship. This requirement also applies to apprentices working remotely or in a hybrid role.
 The apprentice must be employed in a genuine job role that enables them to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required by the apprenticeship standard.
 The apprentice must not be undertaking another apprenticeship at the same time.
 The apprentice must not be undertaking any other Department for Education (DfE) funded training, including Adult Skills Fund (ASF) provision, where this duplicates or conflicts with the apprenticeship, takes place during working hours, or has the same career aims, unless permitted under the funding rules.
 The apprentice must not be receiving any other DfE funding that would make them ineligible for apprenticeship funding, except where explicitly permitted by the Apprenticeship Funding Rules.
 The apprentice must not be self-employed as a sole trader, working through IR35, or be a shareholder, director or person with significant control of the employing organisation where there is no separate identifiable line manager able to fulfil the employer responsibilities set out in the Apprenticeship Funding Rules.
 The apprentice must meet any course-specific entry requirements. Please contact the relevant Curriculum Department for further information.

Please note: Prior to an apprenticeship programme starting, all relevant enrolment documents will require completing including the physical signature of the Apprenticeship Training Plan and Apprenticeship Agreement.
