Basic IT Skills for Employability Tutor

Come and join our training team in Plymouth City Centre!

We’re looking for a confident tutor to deliver basic IT and employability skills to our learners.

Salary: £23,346 per annum 

Full-Time: 34 hours per week

The Job Role:

“Actively Transforming Lives” by delivering consistent, high quality training in basic computer skills and employability to support learners in achieving their career goals.

The Candidate:

• Qualified to minimum Level 3 in a computer-based area (Digital Skills, ECDL, IT User or similar);

• Experience in supporting learners with employability skills preferred;

• Current teaching qualification preferred (CTLLS, Education & Training or equivalent) but full training to nationally recognised qualifications in teaching and assessing available for suitable trainee candidates;

• Able to support learners with Entry Level IT to enhance their employability skills and ability to manage job searches, with a positive, approachable manner that maintains learner engagement;

• Confident in delivering consistent quality of training and assessment, teaching and mentoring individuals, small groups and classroom cohorts;

• Have good organisational skills with ability to prioritise own workload;

• Able to develop and maintain motivational working relationships with learners;

• Able to work both independently and within a wider team supporting functional skills and employability as part of the vocational subject curriculum.
