You Said, We Did!

At Achievement Training, your voice is valued all year round. We welcome suggestions at any time during the academic calendar—not just at set intervals—because your feedback helps shape a better learning experience for everyone.

Here are just some of the ways your input has led to positive change:

Supporting Your Wellbeing

You told us that personal life pressures can make keeping up with coursework overwhelming.

We listened: Staff are available throughout the year to offer both emotional and academic support via Learner Support and tutor guidance.

You shared that the review system felt disheartening.

We responded: We’ve redesigned our review process to be more positive and person-centred, avoiding terms like “fail” to support confidence and wellbeing.

Creating a Safer, More Accessible Environment

You raised concerns about stair safety for the visually impaired.

We acted: Yellow safety strips now run along the full staircase to help prevent trips and ensure a safer space in everyday use and emergencies.

Inclusion & Staff Development

You asked for staff to be more equipped to support neurodivergent learners.

We’re improving: As well as our already trainined staff, we’re expanding staff training, including accredited Mental Health First Aid qualifications, to foster a more inclusive and supportive environment.

Enhancing the Learning Experience

You suggested adding more learning-based posters in classrooms.

We’re on it: Classrooms will be refreshed with more subject-specific and vocation-themed displays during the summer term.

You asked about options for A Levels and advanced beauty techniques.

We clarified: higher level qualifications are available via our partner City College Plymouth, and our tutors offer guidance on accessing further training in areas not covered by core qualifications.

We’re committed to making sure your learner voice is always heard and acted on. Keep sharing your thoughts—we’re here to listen.
