Read how support while at Achievement Training, studying an Animal Management Diploma, has helped Rachel to start her own pet service business.
Case Studies June 20, 2024I achieved my Level 3 Diploma in Animal Management at Achievement Training from 2015- 2017. Passionate about animals, I enjoyed my studies despite facing mental health challenges and personal issues. Paul Ebanks, the Learner Support Manager and Designated Safeguarding Lead, provided crucial support during this time.
With little self-esteem and confidence, I struggled to envision a future working with animals. However, by building a consistent support system both at college and home, I achieved a Merit overall in my studies. Since then, I have worked in various animal-related establishments, applying my knowledge practically. I have learned to manage negative feelings healthily, acknowledging their occasional return without letting them take over.
I have since moved to Yorkshire with my partner, started my own pet service business, and am living the future I once thought impossible. Things do get better, as I now understand.
I am excited to introduce my business, Buggy’s Buddies, which offers dog walking and pet home visits. Through Buggy’s Buddies, I live my passion for animal care daily, providing reliable
and loving services to pet owners in my local area. Website link below!
