Choosing your path after school

 

Supporting you on the Next Stage of Your Journey

Now youu have completed your final year in school, the time has come to choose the path that will best equip you with the skills required to begin a successful career.

Achievement Training offer flexible and supportive study programmes, designed to help you gain the skills and experience needed to start your career.

Choose from one of our vocational courses and follow a structured weekly schedule:

  • 1 or 2 days per week attending Achievement Training to develop practical skills in your chosen field.
  • 1 day per week gaining hands-on experience through a work placement.
  • 1 day per week working towards your English and Maths qualifications (If required).

This balanced approach gives you the opportunity to learn, apply your knowledge in a real-world setting and strengthen your core academic skills, all while working towards your main career goal.

When will I attend?

The day begins at 9:00 AM and finishes at 4:00 PM.

There are scheduled breaks in the morning and afternoon, as well as a one-hour lunch break. Please note that attendance is not required during half-term and holiday periods.

You’re welcome to bring a packed lunch, or alternatively, take advantage of the excellent selection of cafés and restaurants nearby, all within walking distance.

Workplace experience: Bridging Study and Employment.

Workplace experience provides students with the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills gained during their studies in real working environments.

Employers value candidates with relevant experience, so demonstrating this can significantly enhance your future employment prospects and set you apart from others entering the job market.

 

What comes next?

Progression onto further education and higher education, or you can apply for an apprenticeship. These programmes address the need to prepare young people for employment, developing skills enabling you to thrive in the workplace.
