Child Care Tutor/Assessor

Exciting opportunity for a confident Child Care specialist to join our vocational training team based in Plymouth City Centre.

Salary: £23,346 per annum 

Hours: 34 hours per week 

The Job Role:

Delivering consistent, high quality vocational training within the Child Care and Education further education sector, including Apprenticeships.

The Candidate:

• Qualified to at least Level 3 in a relevant subject (Children & Young People’s Settings, Early Years Educator, School Support, Residential Childcare or similar);
• Recent experience in or knowledge of the Education & Child Care sector and curriculum;
• Hold current teaching and assessing qualifications or ability to deliver training and assess learners’ work;
• Have good organisational skills, able to manage and prioritise own workload;
• Demonstrate confident, consistent quality of training delivery and assessment practice;
• Able to meet recruitment and retention targets to develop and maintain own caseload through excellent working relationships with local employers to promote ATL services in the workplace;
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Due to the nature of the cohorts to be supported, this role is not suitable for remote work and will be carried out in-person, on site.
