What you will learn

This course is perfect if you are just starting out and want to gain the skills and knowledge required to work in the Beauty industry. This is a substantial vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as a reflexologist.

This qualification is designed for learners aged 16 years or over and will support you to gain employment as a reflexologist, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role.

The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology meets criteria to access membership for the Association of Reflexologists (AOR).

Reflexology is a type of complementary therapy that involves applying pressure to specific points on the feet, hands or ears which are believed to correspond to different organs and systems in the body. The theory behind reflexology is that these points can be stimulated to promote relaxation, improve circulation and support the body’s natural healing processes

Throughout this qualification you will develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, and client care. You will also develop a range of technical skills enabling you to use reflexology techniques for relaxation and to promote self-healing for your clients. You will also develop interpersonal skills that will assist you to communicate effectively with clients.

Over the duration of the course, you will complete case studies weekly in order to reach the required standard and gain experience of a range of concerns and conditions your clients are experiencing. Once your case studies are completed there are 2 theory exams and 3 summative assessments to complete to achieve your qualification.

Attendance

Thursdays 9:15-3:15 term time only.

We also offer some flexibility if you’re a parent for school drop off and collection.

Salary and Career expectations

You could earn up to £38,000 a year as a qualified Reflexologist. With experience you could manage a salon or start your own business. You could work around the world on cruise ships or in commercial complementary therapy clinics, in a spa or salon, for the NHS or in care homes or work independently.
